  15. Disks - trying to salvage files on a crashed disk - method 1: try rebooting while holding down the COMMAND and OPTION keys simultaneously.  (You will lose all folder names and all Get Info comments.)  Method 2: boot with a good disk, eject it, insert the bad disk, and try to copy files.
